Meet FARMcurious team member Tali
Posted on Friday, December 05, 2014 | By Alycia Lang |FARMcurious is excited to welcome a new member to our team!
Tali comes to us with a well-rounded history revolving around food and farms. She will be helping us to keep great urban homesteading products on the website and keep you informed through social media and our newsletters. If you see her in our booth or at one of our fun classes, be sure to say Hi!
Tali first fell in love with cooking while living in Bologna, Italy, where she learned that eating good food with people you love is one of life's greatest joys. Although she never trained formally, she somehow managed to convince the executive chef of Union Square Cafe in Manhattan to hire her as a pastry chef.
After nearly two years she decided to leave the world of fine dining and escape the humid New York summer to work on a farm in Vermont's White River Valley. The farming bug bit her hard and she went on to spend the next three years growing vegetables, milking goats, making cheese, and throwing hay on farms in both Vermont and New York's Adirondack State Park.
After a brief return to Brooklyn and a year of wandering the globe, she was thrilled to finally come home to the Bay Area and start a new chapter in her food and farm adventures. We’re happy to have her talent and experience at FARMcurious!
