Have you ever dreamed of working for a growing little startup company, seeing what it takes to build a business from the ground? We're currently seeking an Administrative/Marketing Coordinator to help the Founder with day-to-day execution of tasks related to the retail operation of urban homesteading products, events and classes. The ideal candidate will be extremely flexible and enjoy a constantly changing environment in a small, growing company where priorities may shift from day to day. Key Responsibilities Administrative
- Help track FARMcurious inventory and re-order when necessary
- Organize receipts, expenses and invoices using Quickbooks
- Extra points if you have bookkeeping experience
- Locate and research new products for the FARMcurious online store
- Contact wholesalers and manufacturers regarding purchasing new products
- Test products by using them
- Upload descriptions and photos of new products to our Wordpress website
- Help build & maintain monthly social media plan and marketing campaigns
- Post, engage and answer followers on Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook
- Seek blog and website partners for guest blog posts, giveaways and events
- Format and write monthly newsletters using Constant Contact
- Write blog posts for farmcurious.com
- Help design booth or display space and signage
- Coordinate logistics such as load-in times, volunteer schedules & demo times
- Attend events to help “hold down the fort” and organize volunteers
- Must exhibit honesty, integrity and be a team player, willing to roll-up your sleeves and do whatever is required to get the job done.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, blogging experience a plus
- Strong ability to plan and manage projects, organize work and manage time
- Understand and use social media, preferably to promote a brand. Proven history required
- Strong computer skills including experience doing online research via Google
- Comfortable using MS Office, Google Drive, Word Press, Constant Contact and Photoshop - Mac experience preferred
- Genuine interest in urban homesteading, DIY food projects, etc preferred
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Creativity and design experience a plus!
