Build a Better Cheese Plate: Homemade Condiments for Cheese Lovers

$ 98.00

Learn to make the best pickles, condiments and conserves to keep your cheese from getting lonely then sample it all with some excellent wine and cheese.
We will create the stuff of classic cheese pairings: Membrillo (quince paste) to dance with Manchego; a British pub pickle (like Branston) to sparkle with sharp aged cheddar; and a fig and nut conserve to adorn our very own house-made goat cheese (which you'll also learn to create!). We'll then enjoy pairing our condiments with some excellent cheeses and a glass of lovely wine.
The entire experience will be hands-on with plenty of delicious pairings to taste.
Learn to make:
  • Membrillo (quince paste)
  • British pub pickle (like Branston)
  • Fig & nut preserve
  • Fresh chevre (easy goat cheese)
Participants will leave with:
  • Some finished condiments ready for your next cheese pairing,
  • Knowledge to craft side dishes and handmade goat cheese,
  • Recipes for the pairings and
  • The skills to compile a cheese plate that will wow your party guests.

Supplies Required:  Nothing is required but feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages if you like. Bring a few small containers (like 8-16 oz mason jars or very small tupperware) for a 'greener' experience.
