Kimchi Cocktails?? We’re taking fermented goodness to a new level in this two part hands-on workshop which walks participants through the process of crafting authentic kimchi then offers unusual and creative ways for serving and enjoying it. You’ve never seen kimchi like this!
In the first half of the workshop you’ll learn about the history and nutritive benefits of fermented foods in a fun, hands-on format with lots of tasty samples. Nicole Easterday, Founder of FARMcurious will explain the science and history of lacto-fermentation and show you the process for creating a classic red-pepper kimchi. In the second segment our favorite Korean kimchi maven, Jane Cho, will show us some delicious ways to enjoy our kimchi in traditional as well as unconventional ways (can anyone say kimchi cocktail??).
Participants will leave this workshop with a recipe, a jar of kimchi to take home and ferment and the knowledge to recreate their success in the future. Perhaps you’ll even make some other people who are hot for kimchi!

Location: This class is held at a home in upper Castro at 17th and Clayton. Address and directions will be sent to ticket holders a few days before the class. Public transportation is available via the 33 bus. Street parking is also available.
Cancellation Policy: Because our classes do tend to sell out we ask that you please give notice 48 hours advance if you are for some reason unable to make it to this class. With a 48-hour notice we will try to fill your spot. Because we buy supplies such as milk and other ingredients in advance, this class is non-refundable. However, we will reach out to you if we have short-notice cancellations in future classes that you may be able to join.
